MMA fans are highly anticipating the rematch between Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington as the two go face-to-face once more during “Usman vs. Covington 2.”
Let’s all step into the Wayback Machine to recap what happened the first time these two stepped into the ring: It was Dec. 14, 2019, during UFC 245 in Vegas. ESPN details how Usman (19-1) started to gain steam midway through the last round up to the point where ref Marc Goddard decided to stop the fight.
Covington wasn’t too happy about the move, so much so that he didn’t speak publicly for about two months afterwards (which, he maintains, has nothing to do with an alleged broken jaw).
Needless to say, Covington is out for blood. Yahoo! Sports reports how the California native switched up gyms since he last faced the Nigerian Nightmare, building up strength at a gym that’s more solely focused on his training.
